Terms and Conditions

Disclaimer:

All items are subject to availability and colours may vary slightly form those depicted on the site. Although all photographs are made to display the true colour or shape of the item, depending on your browser they might appear different from that intended. Please refer to the description for more information.

Payment:
Payment must be received prior to order being dispatched. PayPal is used as it's one of the more convenient and safest ways to complete an online transaction. If you live in Britain and would prefer to pay by cheque, please contact me.  Please note that transaction and dispatch of goods will take longer when paying by cheque.

Prices:
All prices quoted are in British Pound Sterling, and are subject to change without notification due to fluctuations in the pound and US dollar and the costs of raw materials.  The price displayed when making a purchase is what you will be charged, with exception when the obvious mistake was made in which case you will be notified about it.

Currencies accepted:
Because PayPal is used, all major currencies are accepted through their system. Your currency will be converted into Pound Sterling by PayPal at their rate.

Delivery:
UK: Once you have made your selection, I aim is to dispatch your order the same working day, but please allow up to 2 working days. I will try to get your order to you within 5 working days from the time you ordered, but please remember that this is also conditioned upon postal service times. These are approximate times and cover most, but not all, of the UK. I cannot guarantee delivery times as they are Royal Mail's responsibility. If your order is not with you within 5 days from the time posted (of which you will be notified), please let me know. If the item is not in stock it will be Made to Order (please see below).

International: For international orders dispatch times are the same as for UK.  However, it will take slightly longer for deliveries of International orders. Please allow 5-14 working days for the delivery of your order. Please let me know if your order is not with you within 14 working days.

Made to order and commissioned items by their nature are likely to take longer. However, it might often be the case that I will be able to dispatch them the same day if I have all the necessary materials and time to complete your chosen design. If any of the materials have to be ordered, please allow up to 4 weeks for dispatch.

In all cases, you will be notified by email about the progress of your order, including when it was dispatched, by which service, and a tracking number (if appropriate).

Gift Service:
Gift Wrapping service is available at a charge on any item.  The charge depends on the item you're buying.   Please see Gift Service page for more information.

Postage, Packaging and Handling:
I do not charge a handling fee.

I try to keep postage and packaging prices low while providing you with a fast service with appropriate levels of compensation should your package get damaged or lost.

The pricing of P&P depends on the costs of the Royal Mail services used and the prices I pay for packaging materials. Should these rise beyond what I can absorb I will modify charges accordingly.

All current P&P charges are displayed on appropriate section pages for products and on Ordering Information page.

All orders are send using Royal Mail services from United Kingdom.

All packaging carries high post-consumer waste recycled content and is recyclable.

Value Added Tax (VAT):
VAT is not charged on any of the items.

All orders are sent VAT-FREE.

Duties and taxes upon the receipt of your order are your responsibility.  It is advisable that you find out whether you will need to pay any before you order.  Each order to a country other than UK and EU countries will carry a customs declaration form. If you are concerned about the matter and wish to contact me, please use Contact form.

Jewellery Guarantee:
I take pride in my work and take particular care to ensure that your piece of jewellery is of sufficient quality both where my workmanship and the quality of materials are concerned.
I personally choose all of the beads and metals I use, purchased from reliable sources. If you wish to know more, please use Contact form. Please refer to the Glossary section for more information on materials used.

I make all my jewellery by hand in UK (with the possible exception of some promotional items).  Components used are sourced globally and are often unique.  Each item will have slight variations. Each natural stone, real pearl and artisan made bead will have some variations and 'imperfections'. Although I will try to make all the items in the same design as closely matched as possible, it is likely that the piece you receive will have slight variations from the photo.

Whenever possible I try to use recycled, reused, handmade, organically produced, natural, and fairtraded materials.

Made to Order and Commissioned items:
Made to Order items are those based on existing design that is either Sold or has been requested in different colour/size. If the item is not currently in stock, approximate delivery time will be stated. If you would like to request any item in different colour or metal, prior to making such a purchase it is your responsibility to contact me about the possibility of such modification for that item and the approximate time of production. If you make such purchase without contacting me first (and just state your request in the notes to the seller) then I will presume that you agree to wait for your item to be made beyond normal delivery times and accept that it might be slightly different from the photo due to possibility of some of the materials not being available. For all Made to Order items you will be either asked to purchase the original version from the website or you will be sent an invoice if there are additional charges. In both circumstances you will be sent your customised item.

Commissioned items are those that are requested by the client and are not closely based on existing/available designs. The design and materials used will be agreed with the client prior to the item being made. Upon this agreement 50% of the final price for the item will be payable upfront to compensate for the cost of materials. The remaining 50% will be requested prior to the item being sent to the client.

All Made to order and commissioned items are non-refundable as they are made specifically for a particular client. I will keep in contact with you during the process of producing your item and you will be notified of what it looks like prior to it being dispatched to you. However, if you have a problem with the item after receiving it, you have to contact me first stating what the problem is. Please see Ordering Information page about returns.

Colours:
The colour on your screen is affected by the settings on your monitor & the type of web browser you are using. It is not always possible to reproduce the exact colour of the item or any/some of the materials used. Please refer to the description of the item for more accurate information.

General Guarantee:
In line with my commitment to quality, value and service, I stand by my products so you can buy with confidence. If you receive a faulty item, please notify immediately and return it with the receipt in an unaltered condition within 14 days of purchase including a description of the fault. Replacement products will be sent at no extra cost if goods are found to be faulty. I am unable to accept change of mind purchases. Except as provided by law, no warranty or guarantee is given or liability accepted for any damage to the product due to external causes, including accidental misuse, or use of the product other than for the manner intended for the product.

Returns & Exchange/Refund Policy:
I exchange goods if returned within 14 days. The item/s has to be in its original packaging and in an unaltered condition. All refunds & exchanges have to be authorised. Please email to authorise exchange/refund before returning the goods. I do not accept responsibility for damage or loss through Royal Mail or other postal services, these issues should be directed to the postal service. For this purpose most of the items I dispatch are insured, and if you are returning the item please make sure you get a receipt/certificate of posting.

I understand that sometimes you might want to buy something as a present for someone else and 14 days might not be enough. In such instance please let me know during purchase that this is the case & I will extend the period for this particular purchase (up to 30 days). Please note that other refund rules will still apply. For more details on refunds & exchanges please see Ordering Information.
